Results & Awards
In order to be timed, you must wear the chip assigned to you. Chips are embedded in your runner number. Please do not remove the chip until after the race. Your race time will begin recording as soon as you cross the start line. Results will be posted live at the following location:

RUNNER TIMING:

Race participants will be timed utilizing the chip contained on the back of your race bib. It is important that you wear the bib on the front of your shirt, do not cover the bib, and do not bend the bib which could render the chip useless. In celebration of the A Christmas Story Run, the bibs are part of a collector’s edition series. Runners will be able to keep their race bib as a memento after the race. Participants will be provided your bib and safety pins at registration. Wear the bib on the front of your outer-most layer of clothing on race day. Transponder pads at the start and finish will record the participant’s time for compiling the final results. Post race, participants will receive their start time and net time. Per USATF rules, Top 3 overall awards and the overall Masters award will be determined by actual gun time. All age group awards will be determined by the runner’s chip time. Final results will be available in real time and posted on the link provided on our website and Facebook page. The Awards Ceremony will be held promptly at 11:00am in the Renaissance Hotel, inside the Conference Center Room where race day packet is held.
